What I had to do after work...

I had to go and get my "TDAP" (Tetanus, Diphtheria And Pertussis, I think) shot after work, as a recent blood test I had showed that my immunity to Pertussis (whooping cough) was lacking. My boss's Mom was nice enough to drive me to the health center to get it, and there was, of course, a lot of waiting--regular doctor's office stuff plus it was late in the day, but I was glad to get it over with. Now I'm up to date on all of my immunizations, and the people at work are satisfied. So glad that that's done !

Is this something you have to do on a regular basis throughout your life? :-)

Well, this is only the second time I've done it--I'm 47 now and I haven't done it since I was -- five to seven years old? Evidently when I had a blood test it showed that a couple of the things I'd been immunized for were depleted in their effectiveness, so I got them re-done. I don't think I'll have to do them again.
