Already Melting

Yesterday's snowfall was a record 9.2 inches, the most we've gotten at one time this year and it happened in spring. You can see the drift in front of the window and between my car and the one beside it. It was fun getting the snow off the car before I needed to leave before they plowed the parking lot. You can also see, despite the fact it's still in the low 30's, the sun is melting the snow. I went to the library intending to continue reading the book I had the last time I was there, unfortunately it's been checked out. They had one I just ordered from Amazon and got a couple days ago - Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. It's a fast read. I finished half the book at the library, and should be able to finish the other half before I go to bed. Now to finish the notifications. How did your day go? nothing different today besides the boyfriend got here, and I had to help my mom with her checking account / book as she thought she lost $38 somewhere.

Well, earlier was not good. We had a fight with my Mother because she did not appreciate the food we prepared for her. And last tonight, we stuck in the heavy rains with the boyfriend on our way to our friend's Birthday.

This storm was bad yesterday and they did have a two hour delay today for schools. Which is why I didn't go to the pool today.

Usually the April snow does not last long. The sun came back this afternoon, it looks a lot more like Spring.

I gave you a false report, without meaning to! When they gave the total snow-fall, I thought they were talking about East Tawas. Instead, they were talking about Oscoda, which is 15 miles north of us, sorry Valerie!:( Our snow was melting yesterday, but this morning it was only 17 degrees here:(

@just4him Valerie, I remember those days when I had to clean off the car and went into a store or building and then coming out and cleaning it off again. I do not miss those days.

Surprisingly, there weren't a lot of those days this winter. Mostly I could just sit in my car and wait for the defrost to do its thing on the windows.

@just4him No, it's not finished yet. We need stronger hinges we think but we're getting there. It's had one coat of varnish and will get another tomorrow then that will need to dry and so it goes on.
