New yarn YAY Each month I Knitcrate, I’ve been having the crate now for just a little over a year. They always surprise me with some wonderful and amazing yarn each month. This month I got two skeins of yarn, two patterns, there is enough yarn for either one of the patterns if you wished to make one of them. The patterns are for a scarf and a shawl you also get two shawl pins plus discount codes. I found this month yarn a little funny because the yarn comes from the UK but Knitcrate is from the USA so the yarn started off in the UK, shipped to the USA and then back to the UK, well-travelled yarn. It’s lovely and soft and I do love the colour. It’s made from 50% Bluefaced Leicester, 25% Wensleydale Longwool, 25% Masham all a breed of sheep. Not sure what I will be making with it yet

It is nice when you can get something new. I do know how to knit a little bit. I haven't done it in a while, but maybe I'll try to continue at some point.

If you make something with this yarn and then sell to an American customer, then this yarn really has a great journey

I've done an article on the Bluefaced Leicester. I posted it on Infobarrel and found it later on the homesite of a Bluefaced Leicester stud. I was quite pleased they'd chosen my article so I never tackled them on the plagiarism issue - and they had my name on it so that was sort of okay I guess. I haven't heard of a Masham.
