How do you know when it's time to do laundry?

I sure that some people have a set schedule for laundry. And families must do laundry often.
I know it's laundry day when I'm out of either socks or underwear. I have oodles of shorts and t-shirts--no issues there.
What lets you it's time to suds your duds?

The washer is full. I have my own washer and dryer, and a clothes line if I chose solar power for drying them. But not right now the pollen is so bad.

@andriaperry We have a lot of dust in California. When the sun shines in my house at a certain angle, I can see dust particles everywhere in the air I'm breathing.

Yeah, being out of fresh socks and underwear is a good indication, or when the bed sheets lose that crisp feeling...

I wash clothes for my family very often. Twice at three times a week. Of course, washing machine does almost all the work.

I don't have a large wardrobe so my clothes get done once a week. I know it's time when I'm down to my last clean outfit.

@Marilynda1225 Oh, absolutely. I make sure my shorts contrast with my t-shirt, and I NEVER wear t-shirts with rock bands' names on them.

We have to do at least one load of laundry every day, and often it's 3 loads of laundry every day. I never seem to be fully caught up.

@TheHorse Only my boyfriend and me. It means we have less clothes to laundry than a big family.

All alone I can get by doing laundry once a month. If it comes up sooner then it is because I am running out of underwear.

I seem to need to wash at least one load every day. There are only two of us so we're either very clean or very dirty. I'm not sure which.

No schedule for laundry here, but we do do it often.
As someone either wants something that's dirty, or the laundry bucket gets close to / full.
