Killing Me Softly

Hello everyone. My life plan had lapse. Argh. I bought a life plan payable monthly for 5 years. I am a practical person. I do not want my family to be burdened out when I die. I have been paying for it diligently for almost 3 years now and then this. But now, I was informed that it has lapsed. Because the collector/agent resigned and no one collects from me. I tried to contact the agent to no avail. Good thing I can request for reinstatement but the hassle is I have to go to their office. I recently bought a vault in columbarium on sale. Sorry for those who does not want to talk about these but I see it very practically. Do you prepare for your future? Do you buy pensions? life plan? columbarium or memorial lots?

@rakski but do you only pay one time, when you purchase it? or do you they have annual fees?

@hereandthere it depends on you. You can pay it in cash which has more discounts actually. But if you do not have outright cash, you have the option to pay monthly, quarterly, semi annual or annually. It is payable for 3 years So it is all up to you.

In one vault, you can put 4 urns there. The vault price depends on the location if aircon or non-aircon and if it is near the chapel. And also one thing good in this columbarium is its perpetual use. meaning lifetime. one vault can cost from 30,000(pesos) up to 125,00 also depending on the level.

This has happened with me one time! What all I could was the premium what I paid for 20 years back as I missed paying two consecutive payments because of the lapse on Agent's part. There after though I am not eligible for insurance any more I see to it that my son's premium should go in time and paying on line is the good option. I think you should also go in for online payment option dear @rakski ! Thanks!

@Shavkat oh yes. That is really true. I also experience that, that is also the reason why we opt to prepare now early for ourselves. It is good you were able to pay already so you can prepare for the future

@rakski At this point in time, we are planning to build a new house. The evil relatives are not giving my late father's share.

I tried educational plan from Philam life but they screwed it though my mom's credit card. And then another one with the UK life plan but we couldn't afford to pay it all the time so it got lapse.

Oh. It should be good to have one but not all companies are reputable plus the fact that some companies closed down leaving their clients nothing

I think it wise to prepare for the future as it will come one day. We do these kind of things because we love our family.

I dont have insurance of any kind. Personally, I think it's a scam. Your agent should have hired someone to replace him/her before retiring. To leave his clients high and dry like that was very unprofessional.
