Was in Dunkin' Donuts to redeem my receipt for a free donut when a few youngsters were standing around just chatting!! Then suddenly went behind the counter and the other leaped over and headed towards the sodas in the fridge!!!! The cashier said, Don't come back here!!!! I left out. When I saw the boys outside, I told them to come here. I said U don't want to have to take a soda, U can just ask someone to help U get one. And I gave him the 2.00!!! Some people said I should just leave the store and keep going. I told them we were all a kid at one time! Should I have approached them or kept going?

To each his own, but I wouldnt have gotten involved. Just mind my own business and let the staff or security handle it.

I don't know what came over me! I had walked out the store!! A girl he was with told him to take the two dollars, another put up his colorful finger, but then listened to what I said!!! I guess I felt an obligation!! I'm bold at times!!!!

One of them put up his finger and u know which one that is!!! A girl told the other to take the two dollars!! After I reasoned with him, he appeared to listen and they gave a small nod. The third then said we have to go!!! By that time I had to catch my ride!!!!!

I would have hunted them down and beat the living crap out of them! haha just kidding. It was nice that you offered to help them out. Hopefully, they'll remember that act of kindness in the future.

@db20747 I remember many acts of kindness--especially from police officers--when I was a teenager. I was not a good kid when I hit my teen years; thankfully there were people who set me back on the right path.

You did the right thing by telling the kids to behave in public.

@db20747 Kids need to be taught the rule that is "How would you like it if the shoe in the other foot?"
