Good Wednesday morning to one and all, how are you this sunny day?
It is my scheduled check-up, and I will leave the site after lunch. I am the 10th client that my cardiologist will check on. Since it is a Wednesday, the doctor will see all his clients in the newly opened mall in the city. That was where I had my consultation 6 weeks ago.
My sister is also scheduled today but she is the first client the doctor will see. She does not have a laboratory blood examination so she probably will go to the mall ahead of me.
I will drop by the hospital for my blood examination (PTPA) then after getting the result, which I hope will be within my normal range, I will head to the clinic, third floor of the shoe mart.
The secretary of my cardiologist numbers the clients in odd or even numbers, and since I am the 10th, it is possible that I am the 5th in line. The odd numbers are for those who will refer their laboratory results only. Maybe tomorrow, the clients are numbered in odd numbers (1,3,5,7,9,11 etc.).
Hope my check-up will yield good results.

That is a good way to organize the patients so no one will make "daya". hehe
How was the result, Ingrid? Hoping all is good.

it is high, hija but my cardiologist said it is expected that the INR fluctuates. i am given another dosage of coumadin intake.

@mlgen1037 maybe it is in my diet. i have to prohibit myself from eating dark green leafy vegetables and green tea like C2. if the INR is low, my blood is fluidy or less viscous. if the INR is higher, my blood is thick. i have a heart ailment hija and i have a small blood clot in my heart. i fear for embolism or the clot travels through my veins.

@ridingbet I am sorry to hear that, Ingrid. What happens when INR is low or high? And why does it fluctuates?

no, kabsat. the INR is above my normal range that is why my coumadin dosage is revised.
