Now I know each state and country has a legal age permit to learn how to drive. But my question is... Did you ever drive illegally before you had a permit or were of legal age? How far did you drive? Was it on a road, highway, parking lot? Did your parents know? What is the best age to learn how to drive???? Photo-google images/YouTube.com

@TheHorse I was 17. My Mom was a good instructor unlike my Dad who was very nervous. Mom just told me to drive right home on the highway after I got my permit at Motor Vehicle. If she was nervous she never let on, but I can tell you I was a little, ha.

I had tried to drive at the age of 17 on the highway. I drove the car with my uncle beside me. I think it is better to learn it in a legal age.

Probably right! Yes, there is quite a bit of judgement involved when learning.

Legal age to drive in most European country is 18 year old. I do not drive and I do not have a driver license.

I literally didn't know how to drive before I got my learners permit and started Driver's Ed. The instructor had me doing figure 8's around the trees in the school parking lot. I got my license when my youngest was a couple months old.

I took driver's ed in tenth grade in high school. I started with my learner's permit at 16, but I didn't get my "official" license until I was 18. The best age to learn how to drive? When you realize that you can't play video games or text while you're driving.

My first experience was backing my Dad's car back and forth in the driveway at 15.
