Bubble tea is my newest addiction! I had enjoyed bubble tea years past at a Vietnamese restaurant. They style they had there was like a fruit smoothie, only with large tapioca beads (bubbles) in the bottom. You were provided with a large straw so that you could suck up the "bubbles". Their texture is really soft and fun and they are mildly sweet. My favorite one at that restaurant was the avocado one. That sounds wrong, but it was oh so tasty.
Now however there is a new place that opened up in town called Vivi Bubble Tea. They have dozens of types of bubble tea drink. Icees, smoothies, ice teas, tea with fruit juice, tea with foam, tea with bubbles (tapioca) tea with milk, tea with jelly, tea with pudding and , perhaps strangest.... tea with... beans.
I want to try them all!
So far I have had the milk tea with jelly, pudding and bubbles - the jelly and pudding (also drunk through the straw) did nothing for me, the Jasmine foam tea (iced tea with whipped cream) was alright, but my favorites have been the Japanese Matchta with bubbles, and the red moo milk, which was milk with red beans and bubbles. I kid you not these are beans such that you could use in chili only sweetened. It is weird, but tasty.
Have you ever had Bubble Tea?

@just4him Yeah, probably so... I know they put calorie counts up on the board ... most drinks seem to be 160-400 range, but then, some of them are "slushie" style things too

@Ronrybs Ha, oh dear that is funny. We say that about coffee here. What variety is Builder's Tea usually? Black tea with milk and sugar? That's what I assumed. I want to try making it. Do you like it?

As a side note, I did hear of something called "builder's tea", a British thing me think

@FayeHazel Oh, ginger tea's lovely especially with a bit of honey. The bubbles sound like they could put a very interesting spin to it too LOL

@Lushlala I shall have to look for Ginger tea. Sometimes I like hibiscus tea ...
Oh yeah the bubbles would give it kind of a sweet/hot thing I think?

@FayeHazel - Might be able to talk one of my kids into treating me. They are usually the reason why I try new things. They make the suggestions. I tell them if they buy, I'll try.
