Memories -Book Browsing.

From the day I started reading and could visit libraries and Bookstores,my favorite hobby was book browsing.
Those were the times when we did not have Computers,mobile phones and not even TV. A visit to the library made my day.
Whenever I visited the library ,I used to browse among the books.
Actually I discovered many books and writers from this pastime of mine.
Now we can find about books,authors and even read some books online.
Except for some recommendations by people we know,browsing books myself was the only way those days.
Sometimes I do miss those days,in spite of the convenience of online browsing we have now.
Do any of you like browsing to find new books and authors offline or online?

I like browsing books offline even now.I do not Buy books these days.I only borrow them from library.

@LadyDuck I came across not only old books,but some best sellers online for free. But it is not comfortable as reading a paper book.Have to get used to it.

@silvermist I have found many old books available online in .pdf format. The problem is that I have to read them on my tablet.

Better for me offline as I can smell the books and touch them. It gives me that happy feeling.

I like browsing through books at a book store, a library, or even online. I just love books and I always like to find new authors. I get an email for free books that I can download on my Kindle app. I have found quite a few new authors this way. Some of the books, I don't care for but there are others that have been really good.

@silvermist Yes they are, but I will still try them since they are free. If I don't find them interesting, I will just move on to the next one until I find one that holds my interest.

Yes those days of going to the libraries and searching through books or getting the books issued for reading at home had their own charm. I too miss them at times but after some time the realisation dawns that those days won't come back.

yes I am interested a lot in reading books through browsing, hence would like online ebook format. Yesterday ALSO i was searching ebooks for reading native English authors' book and tried to download online for free, but I did not. Nothing seems free online form and hence decided to go with offline books in shops. Do you have any idea of ebook online form on free basis. I will be most satisfied if you could let me do the favor.

Browse any ebooks by genre Fiction. Browse any genre in our library. Read online and add your books to our library. Best fiction books are always available here - the largest online library. Page 1
