It seems to me we have long been defeating the purpose. They seem to just want us to work so we can buy their dumb products while they are in the Caribbean drinking Margarita's. Makes no sense why more people are not mad at this and just except it.

@JohnRoberts Indeed, But I am pretty sure I have a few vices and think we all need that, but some of the stuff people buy including, my sister, I am like why? Like my sister bought these two plastic things so you can put cooking utensils on. It catches food particles and has nice little spot for the handle, but a small plate works fine and to me it was a waste of money because a small plate worked just as well. I believe she did get them from Amazon.

I think money is to be spent, or invested. Whether you leave it at the bank, or push it in stock markets, or buy things, it is pretty much the same, unless there are defaults on loan. So it does not matter whether people buy. It is silly. It encourages wrong type of industries.

I do not think that shopping is the best way to improve economy. The interests are low, so people do not save money, they spend every cent they earn. This is very bad for the economy.

I am a relic who believes in you save money for a major purchase and not diving into payment plans. I am a firm believer in saving money and being prepared for the future. Contrary to common belief, the government isn't going to take care of you with monthly checks. Many simple joys are free.

Because we tend to think that the money we earned are meant to be spent anytime, any day. We work in order to spend instead of saving them for the future.

Real values have gone down the drain when people changed the importance of "being" by the using of "having".

I am not surprised if the world ends simply because of this.
