Celery stays fresh this way

I really like the flavor of a good stalk of celery in salads, by itself or even with stuffed with peanut butter. It adds a lot of flavor when cooked in stews and roasts as well. But for two people, a full stalk of celery can go bad, limp and tasteless in the refrigerator far too soon. Sometimes we just by packaged stalks, but you must get through them fast too. Some women in the group I play ping pong with told me about wrapping the stalk entirely in foil, using it as needed, but wrapping it back up each time. Anne tried it and the celery stays fresh and crisp for up to a month. I don't know what it is about the foil, but we no longer have to discard celery that has gone to the dark, nasty side. Do you like celery too?

@JamesHxstatic It is a shame to waste food. If I notice that it's not more fresh enough, I make a creamy celery soup.

I like celery! We like to sauteed it and put it in noodles or rice. It is also good with cream cheese. Amazing for salads. We try and get through an entire stock and get pretty close

I do like celery but I rarely buy it because it goes bad before we can use it. Thanks for the tip. I will definitely be buying it more often now.
