Why does something already bad often move to something much worse?

Johns dream stretched his mind more than any gym workout could ever have done!

John was dreaming last night that he was in a gymnasium doing a workout. His wallet, and other clothes had been placed in a locker, of which John had the key, pinned to his tee-shirt. After his workout, John went into the shower room, and he had a shower. John left his towel, hanging on a hook, just out from the shower recess. It had his locker key pinned to it too. John's gym clothes, and his sandshoes, he had placed, in his locker. After showering, John dried himself off, and then John wrapped the towel around himself, and he then went out to his locker, in the change rooms. Then, looking for his key, John noticed that it was not there anymore, pinned onto his towel. John was upset, and he walked out of the change-room, and he went upstairs to the service desk, near the entrance of the gym, and he asked the man there to open up his locker for him. John was hoping that someone had just stolen the key, but that they had not had time enough to get into his locker just yet. The manager opened John's locker, with his master key, but unfortunately, John's locker was empty now. John's business clothes, his wallet, his business shoes, his car keys, his mobile phone, his gym clothes, and his gym shoes, even his eyeglasses, were all gone. John asked the manager to telephone his wife, who came down to the gym with a change of clothes for John then, but when John went outside, to where he had parked his car previously, that had been stolen now too. Why do things often go from bad to worse like this in our dreams, as well as in our real life, sometimes too? Things appear to move from bad to even worse in a dream, because really this is not happening for real, but the message needs to be increased in its intensity to get it through to you. If this was my dream, I would say that this dream shows me in its way that I am naked as myself. John lost it all here, and so he must realise that he is in need of the water of life from God only, and not from others. Only God can give to John what John wants. All other people can do for John is to take things away from John. God must come first. When we live from the living water, all is provided for us, and so even if we have a bad experience, it is the right experience, right there and then for us. Love does not live in its own vacuum, but connects everything to everything else, and yet when you neglect the living water, and do not want to be naked to it, but clothe yourself in the way of the world instead, you often need to be stripped naked again like this even in a dream, for you to be able to discern the truth of truth from that being hidden behind the façade of outer living before, as the shadow of truth only . John had had a terrible dream, but he had to see the truth of his nakedness, which means that he cannot clothe himself as himself, but that he must be the real self as he really is, at all times. He must be his naked self, (his soul/higher self) not just his garments, (his body, brain, and mind). Nothing can be stolen from our real selves. Dreams send us messages and it is up to us to apply them in real life. Life is a school and we should understand the basics and not be eager only to complete the journey. People work out at the gym but think less about what they put into their mouths and also what comes out of it thoughtlessly. When our actions are inspired by thoughts of our creator, we are on a firm footing. Obviously, from the image, it is clear John has overstretched himself! siva

Thanks siva. Life is like that though, especially these days, most of us live overstretched lives, all of the time. We need to connect to our creator, as you said, and only this can provide us with the right sort of peace, rest, love, and relaxed directiveness from him working within us too. Trying to do it all ourselves is always overtaxing for us, I think.

@innertalks Yes, we should not forget our creator and always seek his blessings and inspiration. We should set about as if we are doing his bidding - siva

@Shiva49 I would agree that everything that we do, or about to do, we should think about whether it is a part of God's bidding for us, and are we still serving him, and his plan/will for us, by our so doing this.
