Walking in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania we found different kinds graffiti.
There were pure words creatively written the name of a secret group (like Solomon). There were drawn images, too. Graffiti, as defined, is anything that written on a wall usually done in a public space.
I like graffitis. I always love taking pictures of them.
How about you, have you ever expressed your way in a graffiti way? Do you do hate people doing the graffitis? Do you think that it is a mess on a wall or an art?

it really depends on the artist and where it is.

There are certain areas where graffiti drawings are allowed. They are tourists spots and photographers' "studio". Mostly, alleyways. My husband-photographer has several collection of great photos of graffiti art among his "Street Photography"..

@everwonderwhy yes, it's a nice place, since you also have "heat" in Australia I think that will not be an issue.

@Mavic123456 Ooo! I love that idea of travel with my sweetheart, husband. Probably, on his retirement. That's something to look forward to.

Apparently in the place I live now, making art with chalk is considered graffiti even if it has no permanence. This made me sad because where I used to live, we had a huge chalk art festival where participants of all ages were handed out free chalk be given a space and encouraged to do art. It was something I looked forward to each year.
Despite it being illegal here, I have to say I do have appreciation for it sometimes when I see it. Chalk or otherwise when it is done well its great to bump into art done by talented people where you don't expect it.

ohhh, when I was in Europe I was hoping to see a chalk art artist on the street, because I saw in the video that they were really good. too bad. yeah and using chalk, when it will be washed off or stepped on anytime, such patience to do such.
Do you step on the chalk art when it is already fading?

@Mavic123456 I would avoid doing so. Its already a piece of temporary art so why not let it last as long as possible?

I love graffiti, it can be really intricate. I especially love when it's on the side of trains. it's the only reason I don't mind being stopped at a railroad waiting for the train to pass, it's like a moving art gallery.

ahhh I can imagine, now, I have thought of something, like moving paintings also.. like superman about to take off. that would be a good effect on graffitti and train moving.
