Escalators? Not for me.

I am mortified using these escalators although when I was holidaying abroad I had no choice but to use them. There was one time we had to carry our own luggage using the escalator. Nor do I like to use elevators. That too make me very uncomfortable. I will only get in if there are others travelling with me. I have heard so many stories about accidents using both these modes As I am writing this post there is a news flash on my tv talking about a child falling off an escalator and losing its life and this news has further strengthened my belief that these monsters are not for me (lol)

I prefer escalators to elevators. It happened a few times the elevator stopped between two floors and we had to wait for the tech guy to get out. I was sick waiting to be freed.

@allknowing Many years ago, in the building where we lived in Italy when I was 3 years old, an elevator fall from the top floor to the ground, the breaks did not work, those inside were killed.

@allknowing I do as much as I can. A friend convinced me to take the elevator to go to the top of the Empire State Building, one of the worst experience of my life. I wanted to go down using the stairs, but it's forbidden.

I don't mind using them, I find them convenient and comfortable.Yes accidents are after all accidents ...they can occur anywhere....like I had a slip on my stair case and had some scratches on my face few weeks back! Thanks!

I am very used to using elevators because my son is in a wheelchair. I don't like using an escalator because I am nervous of falling off it. It is awful to step on and off it. I especially hate being very high up a building and seeing down to the ground. I am on my own I like to take the stairs. This is more healthy I believe though it was a long walk from the 6th floor at the hospital.

I am also scared to step in escalators and avoided maximum. My children forced me to use when I accompany them. I scare on stepping 'in' and 'out'. Now I almost used with the same without much trouble.

I will use them both but I don't care for escalators. I am afraid that my shoe strings will get caught in them.

I think using escalators with luggage is insane. I've had to do it myself many times. I don't mind elevators. That poor child!!! How awful!

I think I've seen that video on Facebook. It's horrible. That is why we need to be watchful and add a little careful all the time. As for me, I don't mind using escalator or elevator. It helps me not to take the stairs.
