Now I have gone and done it

I gave notice that I will not return to work at school next year.
At least not full time. I will substitute.
One reason is that I always seem to have cold and sinus problems while working there. Another is to help hubby build the business. Then of course there are the times the family needs me to help.
So I will be here, and other places, earning from home. Watching the budget. Getting things done.
I gave notice so that some other person may not be terminated. They were talking about needing to cut back.

@HazySue I hope he eventually quits being sick, cause when he is sick, he does it majorly.

@GardenGerty I hope he is ok. Next year you won't have to take a day off from your job.

That is good of you, since you were in a mind to leave and some person may need that job .
Hubby will be glad of your help.

@GardenGerty that is a very strong reason for you to stay with him during the day and help out with his business
I understand this as we stay apart due to job reasons, meeting only on weekends and holidays. But I haven't thought of giving up the job option...Again there I am making those innumerable phone calls about whether he is eating healthy and exercising...

That sounds good, especially for your health and all the others that will benefit too ,....like your husband... and some other soul who might not loose their job....

We always need income, but it does not have to be there. I am also tired of being sick all the time, which seems to happen when I am at school. The other thing is that I have sick and elderly family members that I need to help out. Cannot do it working full time.

@cintol It may also be the building or the things people spray around giving me trouble. I just think things will have to work out.

@GardenGerty I understand, especially of the being sick, kids carry so many germs around and as we get older our immune systems aren't what they used to be and definitely don't want to bring that around the elderly.

You know what it is like being a caregiver. As one of my friends said," If you need a job you are very employable but right now you need to do this.

Everyone I know that teaches is always sick. Kids are nasty, no offense to anyone but I have been there and the kids always bring sickness home to the others.

Honestly I felt that it was stuff in the environment making me and the kids sick. I just know I have had it almost constantly for two years.

That is what it is all about. I do not want to spend my entire life working and then totally miss out.
