A new use for an old filing cabinet

We stayed in a caravan park at Bordertown on the border of South Australia and Victoria. The showers there were the best we’ve come across so far – lovely and hot and with good pressure.
There were a few quirky bits and pieces around the park and this one took my eye. An old filing cabinet has been recycled as a place to grow plants. I thought it was pretty neat and a good way of using an old cabinet. Plants can be grown in all sorts of containers. Boots also make good plant pots.

I don't know what sort of paint it is but I think it would be something more permanent than chalkboard paint.

@allknowing Perhaps not. It will certainly last longer.

That sure is creative.Who would have thought an old filing cabinet could be used in this way.

People spend a good bit on old shoes and boots with flowers in them at the plant auction. I know the amish love getting money for their throw away shoes.

@JudyEv I think its funny. I always have old shoes around, if I wanted those I would just buy the flowers cheaper

That's interesting that they are worth money at the auction.

I wonder if you grow a "fileodendron" in a cabinet like that? Or boutonnieres in a boot?

Haha. Well done! I'm trying to come up with something clever but it's not to be.
Maybe next time.

Gumboots would do well, as the usual ones may not support the roots well.
