Man in a hurry going nowhere

After reading Inlemay’s (@Inlemay) post about mime men, I posted a photo in the comments about one of the ‘statues’ we saw in Dublin. The guy has even managed to make his tie fly out to one side as if the wind is blowing it.
I particularly like the young guy who has decided to mimic the older one. I thought you might enjoy seeing the photo too. It was taken some years ago.
And here's a link to Inlemay's discussion. http://www.mylot.com/post/3183771/mimes-taking-a-break

I love those mimes. There are many in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I took some pictures of them too.

Oh wow, that guy in the middle is a statue, and not a real person? He looks amazingly real!

@JudyEv Oh, okay, that makes much more sense now! I was going to say that is the most life-like statue I have ever seen in my life! It must take a lot of skill and concentration for that man to stay in the same pose for any length of time!

@moffittjc @franxav I'm managed to confuse everyone again. They are both real but the older man had frozen in that position. Very occasionally he'd move just a little.

@moffittjc Most move at least a small amount from time to time. We didn't stay long enough to see how long he held the pose. He must have been amused by the young lad too.

The older man is just pretending to be a statue. There were a few of them and they were very good at staying perfectly still.

I was pleased we managed to get a photo of it as the young guy only stayed there a minute.

That is very creative. Were they Buskers?
It reminds me of an assignment the instructors of my acting class got us to do. It was a lesson in trust. We were paired up with another classmate and one of us had to be blindfolded while our partner led us outside to many different venues and up and down many streets. Those of us who were blindfolded had to guess where we were led. When we got to the library we were asked to take off our blindfolds and stand as still as statues. People coming into the library were amazed at the "display" of human statues they encountered in the library lobby. Some even took pictures.

Some of them are very talented - even if it is just at standing still.
