Copperfield's lawsuit

Hello there friends. Has any of you heard of this Copperfield lawsuit where he and his team is accused of negligence?
What basically happened is that during one of his illusions one of the participants in that illusion fell and hurt himself while running through a passage or something. That guy that got hurt considers that it was Copperfield's and his team's fault for his accident because apparently they did not investigate that passage well enough before the illusion.
This particular illusion where the guy fell and was injured happened in 2013 but I only heard about this issue in 2018. This is a little weird to me: does this mean that the guy that got hurt decided to sue Copperfield 5 years later after his injury or does this mean that even if he sued Copperfield back then the process started only now in 2018? Or does it mean that the process happened back in 2014 and I am not aware of it?
I don't know who is right here but I know that this is not the only guy that was disappointed in Copperfield and his team. A while ago I saw a comment on youtube in which some guy claimed that he helped Copperfield to fulfill one big illusion (vanishing a train car) and that he got screwed and he was not paid for the job that he did.
Did any of you knew about this? What is your opinion on this issue if you know anything about it?
The magician took the stand after being hit with a multi-million-dollar lawsuit from a former audience member in Las Vegas.
