Let me explain, just a little

It stormed all night.
The cat howled to go out all night.
I slept through the alarm, and we had to go out of town for hubby to get some training.
The internet was down when got up, but the phone worked. Figured our provider would fix it, figured it was the entire area. . . no time to call them had to go, we were running late.
Still down when we got home.
Shut down everything and then turned it back on. No help.
Called the provider. No help. He said it showed me online.
Right now I am plugged directly into the modem, so my computer works, but no wireless here. I am going to try putting the router back in service in a bit, but I wanted to put up my Hatley post, and then this one to explain stuff that went on today.

I only have landline and internet. I have a Roku television though so it did not work without wireless connectivity. I plugged and unplugged until I now am up and running again.

A quiet? Day here. Hubby and I got all the trash out to the road for the "big" spring garbage day. Then we went out to buy a new Rototiller so the garden could be worked up. Flower bed is finally ready for me to replant the perennials we dug out so we could clean it up. Progress...slow but steady!

@Morleyhunt I was awake at 5:30 but it is cloudy and gloomy out no sun. I have room darkening curtains that help with early sunrises.

@GardenGerty I slept soundly until 5:30 AM. Then the sun was up and my bedroom was too bright to encourage sleep.

Yes, me too because it makes me feel dumb. Sometimes in the past I have called and they have just fixed it from the office.

By plugging and unplugging, turning off and turning on I got it to be okay again.

He told me things to try, but basically tried to sell me a new router/modem. I tried the things again later and they did work. He said perhaps my router needed to cool down. I need to get it to a cooler location.
