You Are My Sunshine...

The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and the squirrels are busily chattering away. What a great day.
I was so missing the sun. It stayed hidden for quite a while. As much as I loved the rain for bring life to my plants and flowers, I sure missed my old friend the sun.
I am sitting on my back deck under cover an enjoying the sun shinning down on my world around me.
I am reminded of the old song "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine..." I used to sign it to my babies years and years ago.
So, how is the outside world in your area?

The sun is shining brightly, the temperature is hot, the neighborhood kids are playing in the schoolyard playground...etc. All is well in my neck of the world.

That is nice to know that you are having a pleasant morning! Yes, the Sun is the source of enrgy to our planet , I we miss him if he he is disappearing for more than two days! Now it is night here, stormy weather no power! Just depending on inverter right now! All the best!

It is good to hear that you are enjoying a nice weather out there. It is night time now here in Manila and it is still hot. Though I am now inside my room with the ac on.

Very hot and very humid not that good really but it is the way it is and the nights are already way too warm and that is something we expect a bit later on and not right now.
You are my sunshine is a very catchy and lovely song to sing.

I don´t have air conditioning as the bills would be very high so I use water and a bit of genius that I have not always got to keep me cool.
Good if you have decent air conditioning though its a good thing to have.

@lovinangelsinstead21 If I could find a cheaper way to stay cool I would do it. I cannot breath good in hot temperatures. I need to live somewhere where it is nice and cool year round. Got any ideas?

Hello there Sue! It's about 7:30 in the morning here when I get to read this discussion of yours and it's a bit cloudy. Rainy season has come in my side of the world and I am loving it because it cools everything down, but I don't like hearing that a typhoon is coming. We do get the sun during the rainy season though, but the heavy rain and typhoon can be depressing sometimes.
I'm glad to see this post because finally, I could rest from seeing winter and freezing cold discussions. Have a great day or night.

@HazySue Hot and humid is how are summer season is. Temperature usually at 37C but heat index is at 42C. But now that it's the rainy season, we can still see the sun but not as hot anymore.

I was excited that after two solid weeks of rain and storms, the sun finally decided to peak its head out today just in time for my daughter's high school graduation. It was a beautiful sunny day and a perfect day for a celebration.
