I stayed at home. It sounds silly for me to say this. It cannot be denied that I am always at home all day long and night. Looking back, there is no regret of deciding to work online as a Home-Based English Teacher. Some people cannot understand the practical side of earning than working in a company that the inflow of money wasn’t sustainable to provide the basic needs of the family. Needless to say, they are just narrow-minded on the idea of working online. For them, it wasn’t a career. Thus, they are still being silly for not being flexible for the possibilities.

If you are earning enough online I don't see why they should have such an opinion. In fact you are green. No contribution to pollution and traffic. You are also stress free so you wouldn't be yelling at folks at home. It is a good option if earnings are enough.

Exactly, my friend. As I perceived, these people are full of insecurities in their lives. They don't have the skills of doing the job online. I had tried to help some of them. Unfortunately, they had failed the selection process. In the end, I realized they just full of themselves.

I could do it and think it's great if you can. To counter-balance a little you should go out for a walk from time to time for coffee, etc. Good for the soul. haha!

Hi Shav. I really do not care about what other people say. As long as I am earning and they do not feed me, I do not give them the time of day.

@Shavkat Crab mentality at its finest. Besides. you are still working the same as when working in a company. The only difference is that you are at home. My husband wants to do it too but he said that I am enough to work at home.

@mlgen1037 I do work in this company as a freelance. I was not directly hired. But then, I still need to follow their rules. I humbly say that I am stable in teaching online and I can do it as part-time in the future.

You know, I am so glad to hear you say that. Because we live in a time where you can work online, and I just think it's amazing. To be able to earn at home, and be at home. Other people, what do they know.

@popciclecold During my younger years, I am so aggressive finding part time jobs with no but's and why's. Nowadays, youngsters complained too much.

I know the fact that it is really difficult to find a good job online. It takes a lot of research and patient to find the right one. Sometimes people cannot accept new trends and this is one of them. I had a couple of consideration before engaging myself fully working online at home. There is no regret with my final decision. But, I am still open to possible opportunities to have offline work.

I'd prefer home-based online job, too, if PLDT would only be kind enough to add more slots in our area and then I'll have good internet connection.
As long as the job gives you good income for long term then that's great.

@Shavkat That's great. At least you can avoid the terrible traffic and some other expenses.

@neelia_lyn You had described well, my friend. I don't need to deal with the traffic jams and expenses will likely not high.

Although I have a regular job offline, I think online work is also a good choice.

I used to abd it works. And I believe it will work for thise wants to have more freedom. It is a nice feeling if satusfaction that you are in the house working and seeing your kids there too.
It works for my sister too. She was a high ranking sales person prior to online work but her family was problematic. She chose that path and though working she still have plenty of time to fix her family. Now all is good in her family while earning.

I would love to work in the hospital again. But then, it would not cover things financially. There are some options for working with an International NGO. However, it is not the right time. I am open to such an option to work outside and still teach online as part-time. It was my plan at first, to be stable in working online.

I must admit that it is becoming a trend in my country. It is more an edge teaching online that working in some Academy schools for non-native speakers. I also encouraged my younger sister to do it as well. She is having it as part-time while working in a company. Moreover, I could make it as part-time if I decided to go back and work in a particular company.
