Good evening! It is 20:58 now and my eyes are drooping. I am going to bed later so i am logging out after this discussion. Sedentary lifestyle. This is me now that I have no active work in the hospital. I prefer to have this lifestyle especially it is too hot this summer. So sedentary I am that I have fluid accumulation in my left foot. This goes away though when i am lying on bed with my feet up. I strictly follow my dietary restrictions;i.e., less or no salt, low fat and less sugar. When school year resumes in August, I will definitely have an active lifestyle again. Are you on sedentary lifestyle this summer?

I'm always sedentary except at 5 AM when I'm in the pool. I try to get up and walk around to keep the circulation moving. I used to have that problem with my feet too.

@ridingbet I know you're a nurse, but maybe you need to get rid of the salt in your diet. I did, and it made a huge difference for me.

with my driving this morning, the fluid accumulated in my left foot is now gone. i walked around every morning but i am always sedentary throughout the day, except for some errands to the city.

@just4him yes, my friend. this morning, i made 3 sunny-side-up's for us, and fried the leftover rice. i just added maybe fifty grains of salt, that is why my sister said the breakfast i prepared lacks salt, of which i said that should actually be the taste of our food (she is hypertensive).

I never have a sedentary lifestyle. I always walk in the morning and I spend some time working in the garden every day. I also take care of the house.

@ridingbet I have never been sedentary. Even when I work at my computer, every half hour I get up and go down the stairs to check something in the kitchen and outside, just to move a bit.

All three kids are out of school for the summer and it will not be sedentary for us. Enjoy your break.

@ridingbet It is funny how some people thrive on being busy and some just like to have those occasional breaks. I am the occasional break type.

oh yes, bringing the kids to school, and getting them for home after their class is certainly an active lifestyle. summer is about to end here, and i am waiting for the day that i will resume my work as a clinical instructor.

when the weather is hot and humid, yes, better stay indoors and become a pig for a short while

i agree with you. it is not being lazy, but it is about minimizing my activity because i am a heart to take care of.

I always prefer having an active lifestyle even when I'm at home. I do so by exercising

i do some exercises but not those that make me sweat profusely. walking around the house, dusting, but not sweeping the floor. anyway when i am back to work, i will be, once again, on active lifestyle

@mlgen1037 good for you. it is also contradicting to somebody here who works in the office and mylots as well. as long as they will not be caught, i guess that is fine for them.

that is great. yes, running, jogging, or even brisk walking, is a good exercise for our bones and body, and our minds as well.

yes, i think i deserve the sedentary lifestyle this summer. then when school resumes in August, i will certainly be that active person again, and moving around in a toxic ward as medical ward, will give me back the energy i might have missed this summer break.
