It was a rainy weekend and I actually expected that classes would be suspended this Monday. In fact, late in the afternoon, some of the nearby towns already declared early suspensions since there was a forecast that there was going to be heavy rains. Almost all of the key cities in the metro declared classes suspensions through the mayors. I waited up to 12 midnight for the announcement but to no avail. I even woke up 2 in the morning to check the latest updates but still there was no suspension. I woke up the kids at around 4:30 in the morning to get them ready for school because up to that time, no announcement made. I usually worry about the kids going to school at time like this. Our good Mayor suspended the classes at around 4 in the afternoon!!

So late in the day???? Yikes! It's important to suspend classes when the weather is dangerous. In our town, school is always canceled if there is heavy snow, ice, or extremely high winds. Better safe than sorry.

How I wish our Mayor is responsible and sensitive enough to do that.

I hope your Mayor will declare class suspension if there is danger.

We all hope that she is more sensitive enough and considerate of her constituents especially the kids going to school.

4:00 in the afternoon? That's too late to suspend classes. They should suspend it earlier next time.
