Is IPTV legal

There is a debate going around is IPTV legal there is company like sling tv and play station vue and you tube tv. Well this past weekend set TV went down because of a lawsuit is it because iptv illegal or because they got a video on demand service that violation copy write infringement . These other company seem to practicing business without issues. So is it legal or what is the deal with the furture of iptv.

i just return the IPTV,it's not good as i see,there are only a few programs and channels are very stupid,they're all the compliment to Communist,i am not a Fascist who loved to see the tyranny and compliment of Chinese Nazi.
And IPTV is very expensive,i can't afford it.i thought IPTV is legal,and it's future will be flourishing.but i don't like it.I believe any TV on China is kind of brainwash to beautify and praise the tyranny of Communist.
I am a bird who can't get away from the hell,but it doesn't mean i give up my dream of flying.

Well i thought it was saving money from cable companys that take advantage of people because we have no choices
