A sprain in her leg days before a trip.

My eldest daughter, Tania, started today her trip to Europe to see her older kids. She went with her BF and with a thick boot as she sprained one of her legs last week.
.
It is a pity, specially since they want to visit several places including going to Morocco. Walking with an orthopedic boot in summer is not anyone´s idea of happiness.
I had brought her a pair of flip flops for her trip of the best Brazilian brand. But she told me she´d use them later. Her whole trip (and who knows how much longer) will be with her boot.
Have you ever had an accident just before a trip? I haven´t, but my husband once had one.

@JudyEv I know. And she is already over 50, so she´d better take care.

I hope my daughter uses some money to take taxis if needed.

@marguicha Yes, if you don't look after such injuries sometimes you pay for it in later years.

I hope so too. She will have to change her visits in some ways though. She cannot walk a lot.

@just4him It did up to some point. She did some stupid but fun things like going to a two day to the desert riding in camels

@marguicha That's a shame. I hope it heals quickly.

My husband was injured in a hand a day before we went to the US for a vacation. He had to go to see a doctor for antibiotics during our trip as the wound was infected.

A day before my school field trip I blistered my toes from playing without slippers on. It was midday so the sun was up and scorching hot. It was terrible.

It is never a good idea to play barefooted. But it is so nice!

@Iam_jauntyjen My youngest granddaughter is always barefooted. When I die, she´ll remember me as the old lady who told her to put on her shoes

Fortunately I have never experienced so much as a sprain.

I told my daughter that she should not be running around. She is almost 55 years old and still thinks that she is a teen.

I hope so! But some of her plans involved walking and she´ll have to change that.
