SHADOW KILLED a BABY SPARROW: WHAT?!?

I was supposed to post this discussion this morning. But then, I kept thinking how can I start the story of this baby sparrow. Shadow had killed it when he climbed a tree and snatched the poor baby bird from its nest. I just saw it on the ground. It seems Shadow is being naughty and showing off his hunting skill. “Is your pet a good hunter?” “Did your pet ever kill a bird?” Image Credit: Shavkat

Whiskers had this natural ability to hunt. What can we do? It balances the world for them to do it.

Shadow may have the criminal instinct from a distant relative?

@Shavkat hahaha. beware kabsat. Shadow might have been a pet of the evil Steppenwolf, the villain in Justice League.

Our cats killed many bird. They are natural predators and that helps maintain Nature's Balance which humans feel compelled to mess with.

@Shavkat I hope she don't get anymore. chipmunks are very elusive creatures and we don't see them often.

@cupkitties I agree. I haven't seen chipmunks for real. I think it is nice that they still live longer for the young ones to see them.

Ms. Gracie seems like an Amazon in the cat's world. She killed a chipmunk and it is quite a fight in an arena.

Only natural and that is life. Our dog hunts birds and mice and kills them and I have tried every way to stop him doing that but to no avail. I have foiled his plans though sometimes he he.

@Shavkat Its not always possible is it? I went home a few times to find he had killed baby birds when my back was turned and he knew that I did not like it.

@lovinangelsinstead21 I agree. We need to do other things. I hope that Shadow will just kill garden snakes and mice. I am fine with that.

It is the life cycle on our planet. I wish I can attend Shadow's mischievousness at all times.

Yes it is sad that the baby was killed but don't get mad at Shadow. He is doing what is natural for some animals. It is part of the life cycle and we can't change it.

Poor little bird. But since this is the instinct of Shadow, let him go.

How sad is that, poor little bird. Thats why I don't have cats, I couldn't handle it if they killed a bird or anything else

It was really surprising. He had done something wrong this time. Shadow is quite adventurous of what he can do.

@cintol I am not that expert, my friend. It was my first time to have whiskers in the house. It could be a learning process. In fact, there are no cat trainers in my country.

@Shavkat The birds are not within her reach. I am not sure she would pay attention to them. She likes bugs and flies.
