Preparing for retirement.

I am in my late 30s this year. As I am working on all the businesses and everything else, I realised that I am closer to my retirement age when compared to the days i just graduated. I do have some saving but I am just starting my family too. I am thinking how to increases my leverage in order to ensure that I could retire well by the age of 68 (Based on my calculation, 68 could be the official retirement age, if i do retire by then, it will means that I still have another 30 years to go.) I do have compulsory saving from the government but I am not sure if it will be enough by the time I will retire. I want to have more money. How do you plan for your retirement? If you have retired, does your retirement source of funding holding out so far? How does it work out so far?

It's better to invest than to save cause of inflation. But it's easy said than done if you have to support your family.

In your calculations, it seems you are in good health. I'm in my late 30s but when I calculate I want to retire before 50, to enjoy say 30 healthy years.

My dad has estimated he can retire when he is 74. I am on disability so that doesn't apply to me.
