Anne's astilbe and hydrangea

Eugene, Oregon
June 28, 2018 1:46pm CST
Three and a half years ago, we moved here and Anne brought along that hydrangea in the back of the photo. I guess it finally got used to the new dirt this year and bloomed for the first time since we moved. She fertilizes it all quite often and has a pretty green thumb. I noticed the astilbe this morning and decided to share a photo.

These flowers look very beautiful, and you can see that they have been carefully cared for.

We had a hydrangea and had moved it from one part of the yard to another. It took it several years but, then it took off and is huge now.

That's very lovely. Some plants can take a while to settle in. I'm glad it has finally flowered for Anne - and you too, of course.

@JamesHxstatic My mother waited seven years for her hoya to bloom but once it decided to, it bloomed its little heart out.

@JamesHxstatic Two of my sisters have green thumbs. They always have beautiful gardens. I like gardening but I didn't get their green thumb.

Beautiful flowers ! Here few people grow the astilbe as flowers .Its rhizome is a herbal medicine used to dispel stasis and pain.

She did something right with those. I should watch. Darn, I spelled it wrong, that's how much I know about plants.
