Hello everyone. So I am here outside our garage where the the pots for plants are located. My son is actually having a dip in his inflatable pool because it is quite hot. So I have 22+ peppers. The others have flowers now so they might produce me again some more peppers. Another thing I notice is the creature in my citrus/lemon plant. Two of the pots with same plabt have these worms. This is the first time I see this kind of worm. Are they going to be butterfly? I don't know if I should remove them. What do you think?

no, don't remove them. they are caterpillars of the small white butterfly. have you noticed small and white butterflies flitting around your garden? these worms are the larvae or caterpillars of the butterflies. later on, they will assume the pupa or cocoon stage.

Okay. I thought so. I did not remove them. I plan to search before I take action and another reason I post here. I know most of you are more experienced with plants

@ridingbet okay I would love to see that process. I knew the process from school but have not seen them with my own very eyes. It will be nice to see some butterflies flying around here

@rakski i like the cocoons of these small caterpillars. they hang under the leaves. then when they become butterflies, your garden will be swarmed with these flitting insects.

They are caterpillars which will grow into butterfly after pupating ! if you remove them then they will die as they thrive on leaves before pupating! Thanks!

no, i don't think so. those caterpillars that have thorny bodies thrive on mango trees. we call them "budubudu". it looks icky, it causes itched skin when i comes in contact with your body.

Before your lemon trees goes bare you better transfer those creatures elsewhere but do not kill them as you will soon see butterflies (lol)

They look like caterpillars to me. If they are eating your precious plants I would remove them if they are not let them be!

Well, some of the leaves were already eaten but I am not sure if they are the culprit. I will try to observe them. and why in my citrus/lemon plant
