Happy first day of July my friends.
Sunday is always a rest day. Even though I am at home because I am on standby mode, I enjoy being with you here.
We are about to have our lunch. I also sliced one dragon fruit and this what was revealed. The meat of the fruit is purple /reddish in color. I posted it on Facebook and my brother commented the fruit tastes good.
When I sliced it in quarters, I uttered:" So it looks like this".
Can this be eaten with milk,sugar,ice, or just plain?

oh yes, it tastes so good. while i was taking a bite, i was imagining the antioxidants that may be activated inside my body.

the similarity with kiwi is, this fruit has these small black seeds.

@Icydoll it is sweet but not so sweety. it tastes like kiwi but no like kiwi. i just like its taste.

I've never seen the inside of a dragon fruit. Aren't they acidic / citrusy? I probably would not eat it with milk.

yes, and it tastes so good. i wonder if the flesh comes in contact with a white shirt. will it stain permanently?

@hereandthere there are no stains as of yet. the flesh of the fruit, when scooped, goes directly to our mouths.

so that's the red variety of dragon fruit. what we've always had is the white one.

yes, as what some mylotters mentioned in my previous discussion, some dragon fruits have the white flesh or the red flesh. this one has a purplish-red flesh and it tastes so good. i don't think i have tasted a fruit similar to this. the small seeds add to the crunchiness of the meat.
