My surgery now has a date! AHHHH!

Perth, Australia
July 6, 2018 12:40am CST
Just got off the phone from the hospital and my gallbladder surgery is booked in for the 24th of August. But I shall be getting a call before that for me to come in to speak about what I have to do and just all general stuff I need to know. I will be getting this done but now having an official date for this, I'm starting to feel more nervous. Not really much else to say. Just putting it out there for anyone who was wanting the update.

Lets prepare for the last rites of the gallbladder. It surely wouldn't be missed.

@Daljinder No it will not be missed at all. Though the poor thing got invaded by gallstones. Which is why it went bad. Gallstones fault!

@VivaLaDani13 Pffftt... Gallbladder should have had better security measures. It KNEW of the possibility of gallstone invasion yet it was careless.

@Daljinder haha! I never knew just how small the gallbladder was. I mean I knew it was small but it's way smaller than I thought.

You'll get more nervous if you think much about it. I'm sure the surgery will be successful. Meanwhile, avoid the food that triggers stomach pain. You can do it!

@neelia_lyn So true. I will try not to think about it. Unfortunately for me, it doesn't seem to matter what I eat. I can have bad attacks even when eating healthy foods. Been such a battle to deal with.

Is it gall bladder stones? Praying that everything turns out well.

@louievill Yeah this is all due to multiple gallstones. One gallstone is a big one. My gallbladder has been inflamed as well as it affecting my liver too. Thank you very much.

I've been off site for a long time so I don't know the background to this but aren't you very young to need GB surgery? I hope it solves whatever problems have prompted this.

@boiboing Hey! Hope you are doing well! Yeah it's one of the main reasons why doctors didn't even think to look at my gallbladder because of my age but turns out I have multiple gallstones. One being a big one. Which has also affected my liver too. Not sure if it's related but my white cells have been elevated for quite some time. It's all been one big thing for over 2 years so I'm hoping removing it will fix everything.

@marlina Thank you. Does help me reading / hearing how much people have gone through it. Seems like a routine / common operation too.

Do not feel nervous, try to relax. They will call you and discuss all the details, there is nothing to be nervous.

@jaboUK Thank you so much! I hope so as I'm quite tired of these weird mysteries happening to my body that take ages to be found out. I have more issues / things popping up that need addressing. Gallbladder is just one thing so far.
