This afternoon was another gorgeous afternoon to walk to the gym for my 3rd to very last swim lesson with Paige. Not too hot like it would be this Saturday at 90 degrees, plenty of sunshine and fresh air. I can't believe a week from today I'll have my last swim lesson with Paige before she moves to Hawaii.
All good things must come to an end. She did inform me my new instructor's name is Omay and that I'll start around 8/16/18. This would give me a break for my left hip pain to go away and take a breather. Plus in 2.5 weeks, my gym's pools will close for their annual maintenance for a week. I won't miss much by having that time off. If my hip is feeling better between now and then, (after I have my 2nd cortisone shot a week from tomorrow), I'll fit in some practice time. I plan to end my swim lessons around Thanksgiving, which would be around the first-year mark.
Back in the lap pool, I did warm up with two laps of the breast stroke. After that, I did one lap of the butterfly (though I forgot to add the dolphin kicks), 3 laps of the freestyle, then 6 laps of backstroke, and 4 laps of breast stroke. That's about it for today.

A sad farewell but a new beginning for Paige.

Thanks so much. I hope so too. The pain level haven't changed much in two weeks.
