The idiom "Dog's life" is used when one has a trying time, a difficult time when nothing goes right But looking at Preiti it is time this phrase is deleted from the list of idioms and replaced it with 'Dog's comforts" Preiti is a fine example of that. She sleeps whenever she feels like, pulls out a soiled sheet and wait that I replace it, she eats what she likes, orders me about left, right and centre.

Would you like to live a dog's life now that you know the kind of luxurious life they lead? (lol)

There are dogs that are well treated and some that are treated terribly, so both expressions can be used.

Preiti is so pampered.lol I think the idiom can mean the lifestyle of a person in a bad connotation.

It should now change as many dogs get royal treatment.
