Excitement is Brewing

I feel so lucky this week as I will see my son on Sunday. The last time I saw him was Christmas. That is a long time. I use to see him more often when he lived in New Jersey and I lived in Pennsylvania right on the border of New Jersey. It was only and hour drive then. Now it is 25 hours to drive here in Florida from up there. We always stop overnight in North Carolina to split the trip up. It is especially exciting this time as he is leaving New York on Saturday on a cruise with his long time girlfriend. His first stop is Orlando, Florida and we live 40 minutes from there. It will be especially great for me as my 76th birthday is the day before on Saturday. What more could I ask for. This will be a very special birthday only to short a visit but at least I will see him. He is my baby!! Of course he is a little bigger as he is over 6 feet tall.

@LadyDuck Isn't that amazing? I cannot believe it. We will be thinking about the holidays soon. I am not ready for that but since the kids are all older they get gift cards or money.

@Jessabuma He is very tall but my two grandsons are even taller, one is 6'2" and the other 6"4". We cannot figure how they are so tall as there is no one in the family that tall.

@hereandthere The cruise is a week and it goes to a few islands. They both like to go and spend time on the beach, especially after the long winter they had.

I am very excited to see both my son and his girlfriend. The last time I saw him was Christmas when we went up north. At least this time we will not be bothered by the cold and the snow.
