Una Cerveza Sin Limon

It is sad, but good to be home from Cozumel, Mexico. But beer time for me is never set aside for a special occasion. I just happen to like my beer any time. Today, at home, is no exception, especially as I begin to prepare some pork steaks to be put on the smoker a little bit later on.
But in Cozumel it was mostly Dos Equis they served, and I usually get it with a lime. So, that's basically una cerveza con limon, por favor.
Even at home I rarely drink Dos Equis. Not because I do not like it. But just because I generally will drink Busch or Miller High Life at home unless I happen to be after one of my specialty IPAs, Stouts, or other craft styles. I also do not generally put a lime in any of my beer.
But in Mexico it was just different, and very refreshing.
So, now I am just having una cerveza regular sin limon. I am content with that. Maybe I will just have to douse a little bit of lime juice on my meat for the marinade before I toss it onto the smoker.
That'll give me just enough of a sabor de Mexico para recordar.

Not to mention, it does cost a bit more than Bush or Miller.

Nice to have something good to be reminded of a place that we loved to be.

Last time I was in Cozumel it was the fajitas I couldn't forget and tried to recreate them with little success. Enjoy Your pork steaks.

I don't travel there because I speak Spanish. I travel there because it is economical and tropical and fun.
