How do plants resist winds?

I have a small curry leaf plant in my patch that seemed to be bent and almost falling after a heavy session of wind and rain. I didn't do anything to it and within 2 days it was up and straight. The plant is about 6 feet tall and I thought it would just either away. I'm attaching a pic of it on 2 days. One shows it bent and the other straight! How do plants do this?

Usually it manages well. But sometimes these plants get uprooted and destroyed by nature - hurricanes. Nature has some interesting fights against itself!

that is quite peculiar I don't really notice our plants here.. but some of our tress actually became split because of the wind

The cell wall surrounding the cells of plant give them strength to withstand storms and rains and other harsh climatic conditions

Some Plants don't have the tendency to with stand in strong winds..our curry leaves tree too same..it's better to put a stick as support
