At a recent gig, I noticed that the back of my Collings OM-1 guitar was looking kind of scratched up. I don't wear a belt, but I suppose it could just be wear from the guitar stand, contact with my pants, etc.
Enter Meguiar's Mirror Glaze #7 car polish. It's what I use on my vehicle (a 2008 Nissan Xterra), and it works great on guitars as well. If you have an older guitar, and want to make it look prettier, just wipe this stuff on with an old cloth, and then wipe it off immediately, before it dries.
Can you see any scratches in my Collings OM-1? I cannot! Do you have any objects, other than your car, that a fine polish might help?

I don't see any scratches! I'll have to keep the Glaze in my notes for repairs for various items that I put in the shop.
The scratches could be a combination of things, including the guitar stand and also dust. We don't think of dust as something that could cause scratching of any degree, but it does. One never knows what could cause the scratching but even being so very careful with things it never fails that a scratch or three or four will show up. I'll be using it on items that I put in the shop to make them look good.
Thanks for the hint!

@TheHorse Living here at Lake Nacimiento it seems like the majority of the house is covered with dust from the roads and the beach area around the lake. Of course it also helps that the critters that come into the house are a "bit" dusty...like enough dust to plant a garden in. Of course it isn't just the dust that we bring in on our feet and clothing, it's also the dust that comes in on windy days. I know that when I got my new glasses the optician told me that I needed to rinse the glasses off first then dry them with a cotton cloth before I cleaned them with the glasses cleaner. That was to get the minuscule particles of dust off the lenses before I really cleaned them... I hadn't thought of that until I realized that my old readers were so scratched that it was like trying to read through a lead map. Now I'm much more careful with cleaning the glasses along with a LOT of other things that get covered with the lake dust.

@BearArtistLady There's always dust settling on things here as well. I clean my glasses only with the dedicated glasses cleaner and the cloths I got from Kaiser.

In this case, besides likely being online when I am not so I could not respond, I would say the issue is your title. It does not look like an interesting discussion title. Maybe it looks like bragging a bit. I would have called this "You polished WHAT!? That is just me.
