Taking a short break

I am vacuuming and such. I have really enjoyed getting things more tidy.
Hubby and I took another load to the burn pile.
I have butternut squash in the oven roasting, since I forgot I had it. We will eat it tonight.
Mopping and resting will be about all I have yet to do. I do not expect the kids to get here before seven or even eight. Guess I should pace myself or I will work myself to a frazzle.

I discovered a butternut squash tucked in near the potatoes. I'm not sure how long it's been there, and I hope it's still okay. I should put it in the slow cooker and see.

Oh they keep forever. I imagine if you do not see any signs of rot on the outside it will be good on the inside as well.

Frazzled is my middle name. Actually, my visit with daughter and family is over. We have been to see dad twice today. Had a nice supper and we have my brother's house to ourselves.

Nope, with four little kids, it is a mess again. I have laundry to do, sheets and towels to wash, all the aftermath of a visit. I will get that done and run the vacuum and tidy up the toy shelves.
