Mosquitoes!

Today we went to see my mother in law and she lives pretty close to the Danube river. There is a lot of water there, many ponds and lakes and it was a hot day so I spent all day wearing just some shorts. It's almost 1:00 AM and even now the air is hot. As soon as the sun started to set, the mosquitoes arrived by the hundreds and I was almost naked . It was not nice, not nice at all. My mother in law started a fire to drive them away, effective, but for a limited time. Well, they stung me a lot, but I think I'm imune now. I'll check my theory tomorrow .

Mosquitoes love still water such as in ponds, puddles, and even birdbaths. I was bitten two days ago and have to use medication to stop from scratching my leg off. I hope your theory works for you!

@DianneN true, true. Fortunately we are home now and there are no mosquitoes here . My son fell asleep next to me and I have some things to do because tomorrow we are going to the beach! 250 miles from here...

I was wrong! They still love my blood and they seem happy to see me . But I don't feel like scratching much, just a little, so maybe I am a little imune .

@Kasjnak ~When I was a kid, my dad and I would get more mosquito bites than any other members of our family. Unfortunately, it's still true, my blood must be really tasty. I have to keep mosquito repellant andan anti itch ointment on hand because I have a problem scratching the bites until they start to bleed.

Usually, I don't get bitten much, but there were way too many mosquitoes here . But they are just a little annoying, I barely scratch my skin .

There are many mosquitoes in places where there is water. I hate mosquitoes. If I get bitten by a mosquito, I can't sleep.

Got many bites the first night, got some more today but I feel ok, I don't have any urge to scratch . But I do hate them, mainly because I'm afraid for my son and my wife. They can carry lots of deadly diseases .

Oh my. I hate them. Be careful as they have a lot of diseases carried by this little guy.

Yes, very true. Their bite is just a little annoying to me now, but of course, if I get dozens of bites, then I'll be really annoyed . The diseases are my concern too .

@just4him my son got a few bites and he doesn't like that at all. But it's ok, we are home now and he just fell asleep next to me .

They don't bother me much, except if there are too many of them. Today I'm leaving anyway and I'll get back home where there are zero mosquitoes . I worry only for my son and wife, they can't stand the bites .
