Hello everyone. We are currently having a heavy downpour of rain. We are under Red Alert which means there is a continuous rain that can last 30 minutes to 2 hours and there can be severe flooding. In the city where I grew up, it has been flooding since this afternoon according to my old neighbors. I hope that the rain will end soon but according to the weather bureau the tropical storm and the tropical depression is the one responsible for making this rain. Stay safe everyone. Have a blessed day.

@rakski As long as it does not flood and we have a river across the road from us that does flood every so often.

Good that there is no flood in there. Same here, but in my old hometown in Caloocan, the flood was rising and that was yesterday.

@louievill yes. Though our house is located in high area, all the places that you have to pass going to my old house will all be flooded.

You live in the North? I wish for a rain here where I am as it is too hot. Only a few hours downpour of rain in my neck of the woods and not even everyday. Stay safe.

@rakski i am watching the weekend news on TVP, and the flood waters in Marikina is so vast, though they announced it is slowly receding.

@ridingbet yes, the water level there can easily rise if the rain continuously pour down heavily.

we have gentler rain, steady but the whole day or something for almost a week, which would stop for a few days, then rain again... awful! (the rain is not pouring so flooding only happened now and then.)

Typhoon Karding left the country Saturday morning. It is the habagat, the low pressure area that is being pulled by the typhoon causing too much rain.

I guess we are staying in the same place. Aug 11 rains was a different one since it never stopped pouring down. In a matter of several hours the river started to overflow and lots have been displaced because of that heavy downpour. Lucky me, I am living in a mid rise condo and the place also is seldom flooded so we did not feel the wrath of the downpour and just heard about it on the news.
