The overkill

When it comes to insects and bugs I always do the overkill. Three of these just gives me the creeps, spiders, cockroach (palmetto bug) and a black striped lizard.
Last night while I was watching tv, I seen a big o palmetto bug on my ceiling and it looked like it would soon be right over my head! I ran an got the bug spay, when I spayed it, it flew to my curtain, so I spayed it again, it fell on the couch, so I ran and got the fly swatter hit it a few times. After I was done with the overkill, I eased it onto the fly swatter and threw it outside.
I think the reason palmetto bugs gives me the creeps is because I grew up in Florida and these critters can be about anywhere. When I was 14, I went outside and one of them chased me all away around a building, for those that don't know, yes they do fly!
As far as spiders go, they don't bother me as long as their not in my house! That was until one spider invaded my area, there was a black & yellow garden spider that would build her web around my hedges by my porch. I left the spider alone, thinking well they do eat bugs, everything was cool for a while, thing one day I opened my front door and bam, there was a big o spider web in front of my door, with the spider on it. All I could think is you got to go! So I did the overkill with the spider too!
Does anyone else do this when it comes to insects and bugs?

Okay, you should let the lizard stay. It is there because it is eating bugs. When the bugs are gone, the lizard will move somewhere else. We have a terrible problem here in Florida. We are surrounded by fields and animals and it is a good place for bugs I have never seen anywhere else.
Yes, those stinking Palmetto bugs do chase people. I hate those things but I use diatomaceous earth. That really controls them.

Oh I can deal with lizards, used to play with the green ones when I was growing up. I still won't kill them. I don't kill the black ones, but I think they just look scary! lol

@sweetashoney I had one here once. It was on the floor, I thought it was a snake. It went away and I never saw it again.

Thankfully, I dont have a problem with bugs. If I see one in my apartment, the cat will take care of it.
