Fake News At It Again

The news media will do anything to try to disparage President Trump. As usual they rely on one very important thing to get their fake news out there...
The ignorance of the news audience.
The latest? A space force. From what I have observed of news media and late night talk shows it is CLEAR that they are not telling the whole story...
Nothing new there.
In fact, a 'space force' or 'militarized space' has been talked about since the 1960s, and nearly every president after the dawn of the space age has considered some sort of centralized 'force' in space to protect the nation.
What is actually being considered is more of a specialized military arm to manage national defense and other military equipment already in space and currently being managed by the Air Force.
But people who are uninformed will just have fun with the idea, thinking Trump's just an idiot and maybe a little bit crazy.
Meantime, everyone has a job, taxes are low, the economy is booming, and the list goes on. But the news media will not tell us that. We have to go looking for the truth outside of the news.
Luckily, it seems clear more people are paying attention than are not. In other words, most people aren't buying the lies and garbage anymore.

I know there are many myLotters who don't share our views, but thankfully there are some. Good post.

Social media ABOUNDS with liberal views. Not exactly sure why that is. Perhaps it says something about social media in general and the clientele it attracts? I don't know. I hate to make inferences like that because it tends to feel like the low that most liberals are comfortable resorting to.

Yes, it's all coming from the loser's Master Plan of "mass production of unaware and compliant citizenry" through these salivating, lapping MSM network underlings to carry out, no matter what.
Their narrative is becoming too old, tiring and boring. More people are sick and tired of it.

@porwest The Gutfeld monologues say it funny and entertainingly. You sound a bit like him. I like his shows.

@everwonderwhy Reading back on this comment I clearly missed, I appreciate the comparison. Not everyone always takes me that way, but I am often a bit tongue in cheek when I write and comment. lol

Too many people want to believe the Fake News and continue to say Trump is doing a poor job. What people miss handing out their Tax money to everyone and watch the economy crumble?

Apparently they did miss handing out their tax money and watching the economy crumble. Funny how these old posts somehow catch up to some people as we now have to sit through the disaster of Joe Biden. Life is funny like that sometimes. The question is, do people get it now?
Based on discussion after discussion...I think not. People are dumber than ever since this post was originally written.

News here isn't even news anymore. It's just narratives with stories made to fit the narrative. If you want to find the truth nowadays you have to do quite a lot more research, and the sad part is most people are too lazy to do that research and fall into the category of being duped by what the media spews at them as truth.

Someone has to. Look, if Trump screws something up I will call him out just like I would call anyone out. But IF I call anyone out, democrat or republican, I am going to do it with the facts, not distorted truths or conveniently leaving an important detail out of the discussion. I cited an example of how the news slants the truth on someone else's discussion on the same topic...fake news. The example was, it was reported that before Trump took office his approval rating among blacks was 19%. It is now over 40%. That means that blacks are liking what he is doing and his approval among blacks has doubled. BUT the fake news media will only cite this by saying what SOUNDS negative. They will say, 60% of blacks disapprove of Trump's performance. Sounds way more negative even if the stat is TRUE, it does not TELL the WHOLE TRUTH. And that's how the news becomes if not totally fake...certainly disingenuine. And people hang on the slant without researching further what the rest of the story is.

OMG! don`t get me started on this! Because he is not a career politician and allowing others to pad his pocket they want him outta there, Why? he is making a difference.
But to keep jobs here we have to make it here, instead of being the worker bees making other countries rich and ours poor.
Does he have the best manners? No but he is not couched to "Be one of them" politicians.
I don`t watch all that garbage and never have.

@myklj999 He talked about this several times during the campaign. He basically said business MUST operate in the environment that is best suited to making a profit. OTHER politicians in the past made it more compatible for business to operate in a way that left jobs outside of the country. NAFTA, CAFTA, the proposed Asian Pacific deal, high corporate taxes, loads of regulations...all things he is now working to FIX to level the playing field, restore fairness, and restore jobs. And it is working. Including taxes, when Hillary said "You paid virtually no taxes," Trump responded, "You WROTE the laws. I only followed them." And there was nothing illegal about the way he handled his taxes. His clothes and products are made overseas BECAUSE of the environment he was working in. Change comes slow. But if he can make policy changes to change the environment, that is what he is working on. No smart business man will work to lose money for purpose just because. That just makes no sense. Change the environment so that it is more favorable to American labor, and so long as a businessman can make money in that environment, that's how he will operate. He has been crystal clear on this, but so many people fail to see that in business, using your heart will drive you OUT of business. So if you want to stay in business, you deal with the cards that are dealt you.

@myklj999 Because he is trying to tell them, "Work with me. We are fixing this. This is a new era for business. Let's talk." Even when it comes to the tariffs, it's NOT about tariffs. It's about negotiation. I have never been FOR tariffs. But when I see what his purpose is for suggesting them...I get it, and I approve. He is saying we can either go two ways with this. Either we impose tariffs or we talk. Anyone smart realizes talking will produce better results than a tariff. They know it, and Trump knows it. Somewhere along the line some businesses have been conditioned to believe the current environment IS the only environment. Trump is saying no to that. And when companies fail to understand or see what the new environment is going to be, he fairly calls them out.

I think more and more people are realizing that the media doesn't share the entire truth. You can't not see what is really there and things are changing for the better here, some people just don't want to see it or maybe they do and just don't admit it.
