I think gay people should have the same rights to get married as straight couples.

I see it also as a matter of equality of rights for all, although I think we are going too far in France where our healthcare system pays for the ART when a couple of lesbians wants a child. It is all about how far should the equality go : a "normal" couple does not need ART to have children most of the time...

@topffer Had to look up ART...I think it is assisted reproductive technology??...same as our IVF I think but am not sure.
My views on IVF are quite controversial but I'll state them anyway.
I don't believe anyone should receive IVF on the NHS...simple as that.

@Mike197602 Yes, I was speaking of IVF. It was not paid by our healthcare 20 years ago, but now it is refunded for everybody, including, recently, lesbians... I also think that the equality would be to not pay for it for all, it participates to the deficit of our healthcare system, and I consider that, like for cosmetic surgery, the women wanting it should pay for it.

not "in favor" but not against either. Basically neutral to this issue but it is still a little bit weird but not wrong. I mean if they really want to get married they should be allowed to do it if that is what makes them really happy.
