Hello everyone.
Today, I went to see my daughter's group presentation at their school. This is a first that they have this kind of activity in grade 6.
It is like thesis writing, they call it mini research and they present it to the class and other audiences with three (3) school judges. After their presentation, the judges asked them questions about thwir topic.
For first timer,I think the students did great. What a proud mom I am now.

I experience research in my studies when I was in college. With K to 12 program of Departmentof Education, my goodness grade 6 are doing it. My senior student kids are also doing it.

@ilocosboy It is because these are the ones in other countries are doing even in some Asian countries. So we are left behind. But what is not good is that they did not prepare the employment industry that the graduates of k12 can already work. Most company still requires the college graduate.

Sometimes I'm not amenable with this idea of DepEd.

That is a good experience for your child being at Grade 6 and she is exposed to that kind of presentation. I think that she will end up prepared to go up higher in her studies. I guess its too early for her to experience that but the younger you experience that the more confident you become as a student in later years.
