First Time Spangles

It's not that I am opposed to trying new things. Quite the contrary. But sometimes when I am on the road traveling I just stick with what I know. But my second time running through the Wichita, Kansas area I saw more than a couple billboards for Spangles. So last night I decided to give it a try. It reminds me a lot of Culver's, albeit with a different color scheme. But the concept and the menu items are very similar. Last night I chose to have chicken parmesan fingers with a marinara sauce and a 1/3 lb mushroom and swiss burger on a sourdough bun. I have to say it was pretty good. I mean, nothing spectacular that would give me an extreme wow factor. But it was good, and I definitely think I will have another go my next time through Wichita. The food was good, not terribly pricey, and the plus is that it is a family owned franchise, and certainly a smaller business. I am happy to contribute to that kind of company.

Plus it is always nice to support a bit of a smaller business as well.

@just4him Service could have been a little bit friendlier. I might have just caught staff on a bad day. My next time through there I may try it again and see if the service is different.

Customer service is as important as what you serve. Hope it is better the next time I go.

It is actually a really cool place and I like the fact that it is a family owned business. Don't mind spending my money on that sort of thing.

I still continue to eat there whenever I am in Wichita. Still good food, and still a sucker for their mushroom and Swiss burger. Yummy stuff and worth the stop every single time.

Spangles sounds good. I saw lots of signs for Culvers when I was in the Midwest..I wish I could have stopped because I have read how good it is. We have plenty of decent chains around here though.

Judging by the photo, it looks very inviting. I try my best to support family owned businesses, especially if the food is good. Just went to one today.
