Hello everyone. A few days from now, I will be attending an 18th birthday party. The girl is the daughter of a co-parent in school of my daughter. We (the parents) have been working together on some school projects as part of the Parent-School Association for 4-5 years now. Though I experience having a debut party, at this time and age, there seems no idea going through my mind of what kind of gift should I give to the birthday girl. I know that she is a very down to earth girl and I know they can afford most of the things they would like. So now, that gives me more a hard time of thinking what gift could I give her. Any suggestions dear friends would be appreciated dearly.

Okay maybe I will try to know her interest. What I know now is that she is taking Tourism in the university but she wants to be a pilot.

@rakski maybe after she graduates, she can apply and work as a flight attendant first, save her salary, then enroll in flight school.

It's hard to suggest not knowing the price range of what you want to offer. There are nice birthstone necklaces or bracelets, but the price starts around $ 30.

during my time, birthday presents including graduation gifts were photo albums. but when i attended a birthday celebration of a co-staff nurse in Kuwait, many of my colleagues presented the birthday celebrator with live palmera plants.

The best thing to do then is to ask the parent what is her favorite

i like anna's birthstone suggestion. aside from necklace or bracelet, maybe earrings, rings, or a watch.

Maybe there is a special coffee-table type book that she would like or a collectors' edition of a book or a musical band/singer she might like
