System Down.

Hello everyone.
Yesterday, my daughter had a passport appointment. Being her a minor, I have to go with her. We were there on point on the time of our appointment. Eveything is going good and as it should be until we came to tge last step which is the encoding and taking picture.
We were seated in line waiting for our turn. It was already past 12 noon and we have not taken our lunch but I was hoping that we will finish the process by 1pm.
But lo and behold when one staff announced that the system was down and cannot save files so we have to wait.
They are not certain as to when the system will be restored because it was system wide problem. Meaning the system at the main office was the problem.
They asked the people to have lunch first as no assurance of what tine it will resume back. And since we have to attend an event at the evening, we will just come back another day for the last process.
It is not a nice experience. But the good thkng there is that when we go back, we do not have to fall in line again.

No matter how technologically advanced their machines are they will definitely encounter glitches like this. Knowing the volume of applications they process day in and day out. But of course it will always be annoying that this happens on the time you’re applying. The only thing that you can hope for is that it won’t happen when it is your turn.

When we got our son's passport it was a breeze. Me and hubby had to renew ours too so we all processed together. We didn't have to go on queue and other people complained but the DFA Officer told them we were VIPs. There's actually a lane for VIP and senior citizens.

I get paid on a debit card, and when the system is down, no money.
