night shift in Q8

This was the only color allowed when we wear sweaters, jackets, or frocks when I was a staff nurse in Kuwait in 1986-1990. The sweater I used in the picture is an Adidas navy blue sports suit; it has the jogging pants that is still with me. The sweater, or the jogging shirt, is still wearable- there are no holes yet, and it is used by my son at home when it is cold. The picture that I attached is me during my night shift at the pediatric ward in a government hospital in Kuwait. We wore whole dress of white, with white stockings and pair of white shoes. We were only 4 on duty for 9 hours from 10PM to 7AM; morning duty of 9 nurses at 7 hours from 7AM to 2PM, and late shift (or afternoon shift) of 6 nurses at 8 hours from 2PM to 10PM. The 3 frocks, I gave to my sister when she went home, but I used the 3 when I was on night duty there in Kuwait. Here in the hospital, we wear skirt and blouse for morning shift, and pants and blazer for clinical instructors for afternoon and night shifts.

Reminds me of my Mom. She was also a nurse when she's still around.

i am sorry. you used the past tense of the verb IS, does this mean your nurse-mother is now deceased?

You rock on your younger years, you could be the beauty contestant because of your petite body, height and charm.

You could be the Margie Moran now but of course its your passion should be followed and that is becoming nurse.

It could be so cold in your duty, so the whole dress might not be appropriate.

What a throwback picture, Kabsat. I have some old clothes with me. They have all the memories of the past.

@ridingbet I am not sure if where I put them. For the reason that my mother started to pack them in boxes.

that is true kabsat. how are you? yes, kabsat, i still have some old shirts, shorts, and blouses, even my nurses' uniforms in Q8, under my possession. remember the shirt "love a nurse, you'll never regret" discussion? that was in 1979 yet.

Lovely picture of yourself! Did you get any trouble with men while in Kuwait?

no. but there was one Jordanian who kept on following me when i walked from the church to the market in the capital city of Kuwait. he was trying to talk to me, wanted to buy me bottles of perfume, but i declined. he spoke English well, but he is an Arab, and i have my perceptions about Arab men
