Krishna is not an unknown name to the world, this is Krishna's birthday which is celebrated by his devotees world-wide. This festival arrives on the eighth day of the dark fortnight of Shraavana month of the Lunar Calendar and in the month of Bhadrapad of the Luni-Solar Calendar. Different regions celebrates Janamashtami in different ways and all ways are one mark of celebrating Krishna's birthday. May Krishna shower light of knowledge to all. Hare Krishna Jai Sri Krishna

Happy Janamashtami .but i miss this day janamashtami program in temple . every year i goes to temple which near my house .but i have not gone temple because i was not feeling well . so i have to take rest at home.

I too was not feeling well, yet we go to the temple; however there was much rain a day before Janamashtami, this resulted in less temple visit, this year we visited only one temple. Previous years we visit 4 temples including ISKCON temple.

@yugocean Good, i was not feeling well but despite i have arranged only new dress up krishna and peacock crown in my home small temple .i have just not much arranged because i was not well.
